Facilities Provided During the Journey

Under this scheme, the Delhi government will provide senior citizens with free accommodation, meals, transportation, and other necessary facilities. One attendant aged 21 or above will be provided with each senior citizen traveler. If you wish to avail of all these facilities, you can apply under this scheme. The Objective of CM Tirth Yatra Yojana

This scheme provides an opportunity for individuals aged 60 and above to undertake free pilgrimages on 15 different routes. The Delhi government is estimated to spend approximately 81.45 crores on this scheme. According to government officials, around 38,000 senior citizens have benefited from this scheme so far. One of the main objectives of this scheme is to promote tourism in Delhi. Additionally, it aims to assist those who wish to undertake pilgrimage trips but are unable to do so for various reasons. Therefore, all senior citizens of the state can avail themselves of this scheme and undertake free pilgrimage trips.

Eligibility Criteria for Mukhyamantri Tirth Yatra Yojana

• Applicants must be permanent residents of Delhi.
• Applicants must be a minimum of 60 years old.
• Each selected senior citizen can be accompanied by one assistant aged 21 or above.
• The Delhi government will bear the entire expense of senior citizens as well as their assistants. Government employees, officials, or leaders are not eligible to avail of this scheme.
• Each individual can only avail of the benefits of this free pilgrimage scheme once.
• All selected pilgrims will also be provided with insurance coverage of Rs. 1 lakh.
• Air-conditioned buses and trains will be used for travel.
• Meals and breakfast will also be provided by the Delhi government.
